PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 25-2022, of a vacancy in the membership of the Board of Education of Unified School District No. 251, Lyon County, Kansas, and that such vacancy shall be filled by appointment of the Board of Education until the next general election not sooner than fifteen days following publication of this notice.

Such vacancy exists by reason of the resignation of Tammy Patterson, who represented Position #1, Reading area. Persons interested in being considered to fill this position should notify the Board of Education in writing of their interest at 614 Main, P.O. At the Board of Education meeting on April 16, the Board approved dismissing students 2 days early, making Friday, May 18 (a full day) the last day of school.
